Alabama Ranks Highest Among The Nations’ Elite Metro Golfing Cities
The Metro Golf Ranking, by Golf Digest® Magazine and published on GolfDigest.com® ranked the Auburn-Opelika area number one out of 330 towns and cities in America that have populations in excess of 50,000 residents.
In addition, nine other Alabama cities scored in the top 59.6% of the rankings.

Pretty impressive numbers when you consider the fact that California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, the Carolinas, and the upper Northeast have always been considered the “Golfing Meccas” of the United States.
